My Fitness Journey: 13 Months Postpartum

Wild Rosebuds at 13 months Postpartum saying goodbye to baby weight and hello to a new lifestyle. As you all know, I have been on a fitness journey since having Poppy. I've documented it all because I wanted you fellow moms to know that its ok to not look like a celebrity right away. But, there was a comment that made me stop and look at myself, second guessing if I should be taking you on this journey with me, and should I even be working on my fitness at all. The comment was completely innocent and was probably made to boost my confidence back in the Fall, but it did the opposite. The lady told me to please not work out too much because she liked that my body was bigger than the other bloggers/instagrammers out there and that it would be horrible to have me look the same as them. there was one problem with that, I am not naturally a bigger person. I am an active, busy person who has many food allergies that force me to eat more veggies than pizza. Besides that, I wanted to feel like myself again and gain that confidence back that my husband fell in love with. Fitness is where I found myself again and started to repair the confidence pregnancy sometimes strips of you.Wild Rosebuds at 13 months Postpartum saying goodbye to baby weight and hello to a new lifestyle. It has been a struggle to find time to actually work out, to balance time for myself, my new baby girl, the trials of having 2 kids, as well as working full time on the blog. I have tried just walking, just running, fitness classes, anything you can do when you don't have much time and no gym close by. Nothing was working or atleast keeping my interest. With an income that is very unstable, I couldn't afford to do the personal training route and lets be honest here, those type of appointments are hard to keep as a Mom. Everything is more important and then you never end up going. My classes I was taking were great, but the timing didn't work with our family. I needed something that A. I could do in our own home during naps or after bedtime and B. was quick enough that I could still get other stuff done, but efficient enough that I'd see results to keep doing it.

My Starting Point at 6 Weeks Postpartum

I am not paid by them what-so-ever to promote their programs and workouts, Realistically, they don't even know who I am. But, along with millions of others, we are seeing results from the videos that they teach and post to their YouTube Channel, and Website. It has been 4 months of working out 4-5 times a week, 20 mins a day from my living room floor, using only weights and a yoga mat. I have now been told that I have #shouldergoals, my stomach is flat, and my legs are shorts ready. I cannot preach the ease of this any more lol.Yes, I have toned up, and will probably continue to do so because I love the rush of working out. But, I am more so focusing my end gaols on how I feel. Since getting back into being active, I have a huge vote of confidence. This confidence is new. It isn't the same confidence pre-kids that I was searching for, it is way stronger. I made two babies in my body, built them from scratch, and then got my body back, all while being a great mom to those babies and an entrepreneur. If that isn't enough to make you feel unstoppable, I don't know what is.
