If you Follow me on Facebook, you will have already seen that I was featured on Fashion Magazine's Style Panel's 'How to' on transitioning your favorite Summer dress into Fall. As a young mom of two, like many of you readers, my clothing budget is tight. I mean, I'd rather spend the money on my fast growing kids than me. This Summer, however, I decided to grab some great dresses to throw on and were easy to breastfeed in. The big problem with that is that I live in Nova Scotia, and Summer here is so short.

But, for all you ladies who live in a Seasoned climate like me, I have a quick solution for such an issue. No matter the pattern, color, or style, 99% of your summer dresses can be wore through the fall season just by adding 3 main pieces:

  1. Outerwear: By this, I boil it down to a warm chunky knit sweater to keel the dress casual, or dress it up with a leather bomber. I be you all have one or both of these in your closet.
  2. Opaque Tights: This is a staple for the colder months in a woman's closet, and the don't have to be black. But if you are like me, I always gravitate to black as I find it is more slimming.
  3. Boots: Heeled, flat, over the knee, ankle boots, they all work. As soon as you throw on boots, you mean cold weather business. And If your like me, this is one of those pairs of shoes that are worth investing in as they last way longer than sandals and you can wear them all year round.

So, step away from your computer, head to your room, and start shopping your own Fall closet by adding theses items to your summer dresses.P.s. What is your most favourite all year round piece in your closet?Katie Rose
