Kitchen Plan Update

We are one step closer to getting this kitchen plan done once an for all!

As you may have seen on Instagram stories this week, we have FINALLY refinished our kitchen floors. From our first blog post chatting about this kitchen refresh, you may remember we are planning on doing a white wash to these kitchen floors. Once we had them fully sanded down, we loved the grain so much in the world that we didn't want to cover it with paint. So, we decided to just seal them as they were. We will be posting a blog post up next week all about that entire process and what we used. Their a bit more yellow than we had set out for but we are also super happy with their overall look.

So, what's next?

Yesterday morning we were allowed to walk on the floors for the first time since we finished the last seal, I sat on the window seat in the corner trying to visualize all of the things to do. This weekend, we will be confirming all of the measurements for our new drawer and door fronts so that Monday morning we can order them. They have an eight week turnaround time so we want to have them in now so we can wrap this project up before the end of summer. We are ordering them unpainted so that we can paint the kitchen all in one go to the same color. I can't wait to show you guys what colour we chose. If you followed us on Instagram stories, I've used this colour before and wasn't sold on it but on kitchen cabinets it works amazing.

We had ordered our new knobs and pulls last week but our order was cancelled due low stock so we are going to get them striaght from the brand instead. We are going for a champagne bronze to match our Cafe range and new Delta Faucet.

This week we also had heard from Centura about our tile and it should be coming in the next two weeks. That 2 months flew by and now were are so excited to get that portion done and see our floating shelves against the new organic tile.

Heres whats added to the plan since we last gave you an update. We are going to be ripping off all the shiplap and replacing it with vertical tongue and groove through out painted shoelace to match the rest of the trim in the home. Next, by fall, we will be selling our current fridge that was the wrong one in the frist place (only 2 years old) and will be getting the counter depth Cafe white fridge that matches our range. We also will by christmas get the matching dishwasher (ours is leaking but still works)

Thats it! We are aiming to have everything besides the new apliances done by the end of June and cant wait to share the whole process with you.
