A Spoiled Day at Shades Of Bedford
Well as I am sure some of you fellow moms know, a day to yourself feeling beautiful and spoiled doesn't happen very often. I was so lucky to be asked for a day of pampering by the ladies at Shades of Bedford Hair and Nail Salon located in Sunnyside Mall. It was fantastic. I was greeted by the owner and her fantastic staff and right away felt at ease in their hands. Grace, one of their aesthetician, with 8 years under her belt started me off with a spa manicure and pedicure. She was friendly and sweet and probably knows more than she wanted to know about me. Yeah, I have a problem with word vomiting when I'm in the presence of adults that aren't my own patients. Anyways, she did a great job at painting them this awesome gold from OPI, which they gave me to take home after I was leaving. SCORE!Next, Grace did my make up (jack of all trades). We went for a sun kissed, smokey eye day look. Just dramatic enough to not look over done as the sun was still shining. It looked fantastic. She used great products from MAC and she really matched my skin tones and style.Lastly, I had an updo from the fantastic Sharon. This cute petite little lady loves volume just as much as I do ( the higher the hair, the closer to god. I really should have been born southern) and seeing as though time and time again I have proved to myself that I do not know how to back comb, I took this opportunity to get something fun with a retro feel to it. Sharon, having just taken a course this past year for updos by the best in the world, knew exactly what to do.Rob met me there for the last of the appointment and he said he was in Awe. He loved how the ladies did me up and couldn't wait to take some photos for the blog and then out for a drink to show me up. Comments like that are all you really need from your love. Those ladies made my day.We heard that Sunnyside Mall had an awesome free underground parking garage, HEATED! So we headed down for some photos and to check it out. I have been to that mall many times circling the parking lot, having never known there was a space like this. Now that will be my go to parking spot.ATLAST, the ladies that Crafted me with their magic, want to share something with you. If you book in for a service with Grace or Sharon and mention my blog post, you will get $20 off your service. AMAZING!! Enjoy your YOU time with these ladies like I did.Katie Rose xo
