The Importance of a Dry Baby And Sleep With Pampers
You may remember that early last summer, I went to Toronto for a whirlwind 28 hours with Pampers. It was to attend the announcement of their newest technology that they were about to start applying in their Baby Dry diapers. It was so cool to watch, as leaders from the Pampers team in the states taught us about all of the technology and testing that goes on behind the making of their diapers to be not only safe on your baby’s skin but also work.One of the biggest complaints parents had, was lack of sleep due to babies waking up feeling wet. As you all know, a tired parent is no fun to deal with for anyone. With this new technology, they were able to make their Baby Dry diapers thinner, yet more absorbent, AND, feel 3x drier next to a baby’s sensitive skin.
So what is this new technology?
The inside of disposable diapers has always long been made out of a cotton swab- like material, but this creates a lot of bulk. As the years have passed, Pampers has started to mix the cotton-like material with gel beads that also suck up water. In fact, the gel beads, suck up more water than the cotton-like material, take up less space, and lock moisture in allowing your baby to not feel as wet on their own skin. What Pampers has done with Baby Dry Diapers to give them a comfortable low profile, but still last through the night, is take out the cotton-like material altogether and just use the gel beads.After testing this new technology out, they realized that they needed to add extra chambers to the diaper as well to keep those gel beads in place and distribute the moisture evenly. They also added an extra absorbent layer to the diapers to trap the moisture away from baby’s skin, letting you both get a good night sleep. 
But, Since launching this new technology, they have also decided to do an overhaul on Baby dry Dry all together, giving them many of the features that we enjoy from both their Swaddlers and Cruisers. The Pampers Baby Dry Diapers will now have a wetness indicator in smaller sizes, my favorite feature, as well as stretchy sides to help keep baby comfy once the baby gets moving. And, as always, will be made from a soft, cotton-like fabric with comfort as a top priority.If you have been following me for a while, you will know that we have always been a Pampers family since the day Aubrey was born.
