Watching Over Poppy With Withings Home
When It comes to Aubrey, he was the classic first born tester baby. We did a lot of things with him that we swore before kids we would never do and have learned what worked and what didn't. When it came to transferring him over to his crib from our bed at 6 months, it was a hard process. He wasn't familiar with the space and had grow out of the bassinet a month or 2 prior so he was used to snuggling with me through the night. Let's just say, I was in a parenthood hell. With Poppy, we want to do things differently in many different ways. One of which is to get her used to her crib as soon as possible so that when I am ready to give up that night time snuggle with her, it won't be the end of my sanity as we know it. But, because she is still too young, and I have another child to take care of, I need a second set of eyes on her to watch her while I'm not in the room. (also to watch her pesky brother ;)). So we decided to go with the Withings Home Monitor. We used a monitor with Aubrey, but there were a ton of features it lacked. And a huge issue was that it interfered with our internet signal causing us to almost have none at all if it was on. When we learned about Home using our signal and all of the features, we were sold. This small classy looking monitor can be used for Home security or for a baby monitor and all of the notifications are received to your phone no matter how far away you are (hello nanny cam). While in Baby monitor, you have great settings that Parents love. These are also the settings that our old monitor lacked. You can stream video from the last 48 hours and even save them if your baby does something memorable like her first roll. There also is a two-way mic so you can soothe the baby from outside the room. The Night vision is also in HD so you always have a clear picture of your sweet angel, and there is a night light and lullaby built right in to use as apart of the bedtime routine to help your baby self soothe. And Finally, one of the coolest features has to be the Air quality testing so that you know your baby is in the safest environment.Armed with the Home monitor, I am hoping we make all the big transitions so much easier, but never miss a moment in the meantime.
