A Great Cup Of Joe
Aubrey has been sick with either a cold or a flu bug for the past 2 days so you know it's gonna be a long day and coffee is the perfect thing to help. Unfortunately for me it's the placebo effect of decaf. This weekend on our little Staycation, I scored this amazing Italian style espresso maker. I had first tried coffee out of one of these a few years back when I was a guest at someone house. It was amazing. We have a tassimo that we use regularly but there isn't much that comes in decaf and the milk in the lattes hurt my stomach. I know I'm getting a milk steamer from my mom for Christmas( yes we are the type that buy the gifts in front of each other) and so I was dying to find something to make a great espresso shot that didn't cost a fortune. I had mentioned this type of doodad to Rob at the beginning of the weekend and as we walked into a small coffee shop in Lunenburg , there it was, rob spotted it right away and for only $30. Neither of us really knew how it worked so the owner of the shop was pleased to explain. You fill the bottom with water and then put the coffee 'filter' on top with the amount of ground coffee or espresso beans to your taste. You then screw on the top and place it on a burner on high. When the water starts to boil, it creates a vacuum and forces the water through the beans and into the top of the maker. Pour it out and enjoy! Deffinitely a must try if you are a fan of a good strong cup of coffee.
Good Morning,
