The New Halifax Central Library

Last Wednesday, Rob and I took each other on a lunch date to the brand new Halifax Central Library. After years of watching them build it from the ground up, it was exciting to Finally get to see what that hyped up inside was going to look like. It held up to the hype. The modern architecture and state of the art technology married perfectly together. From iPads in the children's area, to iMacs open for public use, it was perfect. We walked through each level until we arrived at the top where the building literally hangs on its own (similar to Jenga). There, we sat with our delicious macchiatos from the Pavia Cafe in quiet harmony as we took in the amazing 360 degree views of our quiet little city. It was a perfect little break from the busy day in the office I had and allowed us to experience something new together. If your in the area, definitely check it out.
