Design Consultations
I've always been a creative person. Growing up, I thought that that meant I needed to get into the fashion industry. After looking back I realized, that probably wasn't the right path but it definitely led me to where I am. Now when I think about my childhood, I remember spending hours redecorating my room. Switching up the layout every few months, Especially after a new movie had come out that inspired me. From Harriet the spy to Mulan, to even the cheetah girls, I constantly used what I had to make my space look like one I saw on the TV.
It goes further than that though. Every season, every holiday, I would totally take the reins on decorating my parents house. I actually still do at 34 years of age, I head there the weekend that it turns December and decorate for my mom. So now that I think about all of that, this next step for our brand makes complete sense.
Over the last three homes we have lived in as a family, we have done everything we could to make it a space we are proud of. We have worked with the homeowners in our previous rentals to update the space while we were living there, From paint to kitchen islands. And now that we are in our third year of owning our own house, you have All seen us work our buns off Making this house a home, adding warmth, and bringing it to the 21st century, while playing odes to its 1917 heritage.
This summer, I will be heading back to school for a third time. This time, online to take my interior design course and to say I am excited is an understatement. Rob And I have big goals for our lifetime. We are entrepreneurs, and we want to stay that way and we are ready to take things to the next step.
So, yesterday on our shop we launched design consultations. They are broken up in 1,2 and 3 hour Packages to not only help you gather your design plans together, but to also make your house feel warm and cosy and a happy place to be in.
What is different from us compared to other people who are offering E-design, Is that we go more personal than just You sending us a shot of the room and we sending you back a mood board, layout, and all of the things you now need to purchase and do on your own. Instead, we want to open the conversation of design with you. We want to meet with you over zoom or in person to discuss different options with you for your space. Think of it as going for coffee with your best friend who knows a thing or two about renovations and being able to hash out all of your worries and ideas and really pinpoint exactly what you want.
In these meetings, we will chat about layout, paint options, furnishings, and finishings that will add character to your space. We can chat about things that you can do on your own, things that we could possibly help you with if your local, And things that would definitely need professionals to be brought in. We also want to work with what you already own and love. We know that budgets aren't huge especially with the state of the world right now. Renovating or redecorating your space doesn't need to cost a fortune and doesn't mean you need to purchase brand new everything.
