A Fall Afternoon At Noggin's Corn Maze
Family Time is huge for us. With Rob working most weekends, we try to do something fun as a family when his day off and Aubrey's day off daycare collide. Today was one of those days. Now I know, family outings with a toddler and a newborn seem daunting, but if you plan something totally crazy busy, the activity helps keep the toddler in check.Today we ventured out to Noggin's Farm. Its in the Annapolis Valley here in Nova Scotia. With the main event being a 5 km walk through a fun corn maze, the shape of a Witch, and at the end, a fun zone, with slides, mountain climbing, mini mazes and water play all made from items that you find on a farm. Needless to say, Aubrey loved it and we even let him take the lead on guiding us through the maze for the first half. He was loving every minute and of course, as all toddlers do, through a massive fit when we said it was time to go. But, with a few snacks and a short distance driving in the car, he was right as rain and fell asleep for the whole ride home.As a stay-at-home mom, I know how hard it is to have to spend the whole day trying to entertain a toddler while you try to keep a newborn calm and happy. It's tough, and by bedtime, you are all tapped out of 'watch this' and being called 'mommy' every 5 seconds. But having days like we had today is like a recharge of the mommy battery. Such a simple activity can bring your kids so much joy. It truly is worth any struggle you had getting them out the door. What do you do with your little ones to keep them entertained?
