And she's back!
Last year, when I found out I was pregnant, I set a goal. I promised myself that I would run the 5km in the Valley Harvest Marathon on Thanksgiving Sunday. I have always been and avid runner and usually compete in 10km races. I work on bettering my time each year. I wanted to have a realistic goal so I said I would only run 5km and would do it in 32 minutes or less. Well, the day finally came this Sunday. I have been running 5km frequently but the time on a treadmill doesn't depict that of an outdoor course. Rob and Aubrey waited for me at the finish line. I made it in 27.45mins shaving more than 4mins off my goal. I placed 103 out of 468. To say I hadn't ran in a year besides the last 2 months, I am pretty proud of my self. I set a goal and I slammed it. NOW, just to get under 55mins in the Bluenose 10km next May :P
Also, here are some great pictures from the beautiful day I had with my sister, mom, niece, and my little family. We walked through the woods on the road that takes us to my grandparents neighbouring farm. I was on a mission to see a door my uncle had saved me to make a headboard from. Wait and see the step for step process on the blog. Have I ever told you how much I love Fall?!?!
