Our Beach Getaway: Part 3 (Watching The Sunset)

The Third and Final part of our weekend away, come a day later than planned, with photos thanks to my love Rob at sunset.
After dinner was had, we tucked aubrey into his Pack and play for bed, and headed to the beach with a bottle of wine in tow. Rob had been to this beach a few times over the last 2 weeks that he had been there, and thought it would be perfect for watching the sunset. It was gorgeous that night and once we arrived on the sand, we made our way along the water to this mountain of large beach rock that jetted out into the middle of the ocean. There we sat on a blanket close to the edge and watched as the waves crashed on the rocks below us. We sat there for a while, talking about us and our plans for the future (career wise and life wise). We sipped our wine out of mason Jars, and made sure to reconnect in this beautiful scene with each other. Just before the sun set, we saw a school of black dolphin swim by, in and out of the water in sync. I mean how perfect is that? It was almost hard to believe. Before the tide got too high and the sun fell too far behind the land, we headed back to our car. Those are the nights you need as a parent to stay together as a whole. The nights where Aubrey isn't our main focus, and we can just talk about us. Thank to Nana Ruth, we were able to do that. Fingers crossed that it won't take so long to have one of those nights again.
