Welcome back…
It’s been a while since I spent time on something I own all on my own. The blog was where this whole this started just over 11 years ago now and it’s about time we get back to it.
To be honest, I think I was completely run down. I had run this space full time for 11 years through 3 pregnancies, multiple social channels, 2 side businesses, and also buying and selling homes. I only was able to take mat leave for my first pregnancy so this business took its toll on me, never allowing me to step away.
Something had to give…
And with most of our income from sponsored content on Instagram and TikTok, I allowed myself to take some time away from the blog side of things. You see, it’s just little ol me over here. I have no assistants behind the scenes, now a husband working out of the home full time, and 3 kids to keep alive. (I won’t even get into the chickens cats and puppy)
But, there’s something about the stage we are at in the renovation of our new home (can I still call it new even though it’s been 18 months?) that I feel like I can handle some more on my plate. Or maybe we’ve finally found a new groove with the kids being older and Rob having been at his job for 9 months. I have such a focus back on growing the things I love, creating more, documenting more.
In honour of getting back to the basics and the OG platform, the blog, I switched a few behind the scenes things for the blog, allowing me to create a more beautiful branded site ready for all sorts of content for the foreseeable future.
