The Perfect Linen Sectional For a Family
When it comes to finding the perfect sofa, there are so many different checklists you have to make. The height, the depth, the comfort level of the cushions, do you want down, washable covers? It makes the task almost impossible.
As much as we absolutly love our IKEA furniture in our living room, there seems to always be a fight between the three kids on who sits where, who is too close to who, and who has the better view. No one wanted to sit in the comfy chairs on either side of the sofa. So we knew we needed to make a change. As a mom I am a referee too much as it is, I didn't need to have to constantly designate spots on the couch for each child.
This meant we knew we needed a large sectional that could fit the space but also be rejigged if need be because I am that type of person where sometimes I just need to change. Our checklist was as follows:
- Deep cushions
- Washable linen cover
- Comfortable enough for our family movie nights
- Comfortable enough for guests to sleep on (eventually, we will have a guest room in the basement)
- Can be configured in many ways
- Preferrably Canadian Based business
- An Investement but not obscenely priced.
- BIG but not too big for our narrow living room
So I went on a hunt with all of these things in mind. I hit up all of my go to Canadian shops and most things were either out of our price range, or it fell short on our list. I think the biggest thing we struggled with finding was some thing with a linen cover that was washable and in our price.

We obviously ordered it right away and it has become the gathering spot for our family. My kids have jumped on it, spilled hot chocolate on it, and with a quick wash, its back to its beautiful comfort and cleanness.
I love that not only does this style come in the sectional but you can get it in two other sizes. And they now also have it in a Green Velvet cover and Charcoal to match your home. Another great feature is that it has these lockable slides on the sides. Allowing you to configure the sectional however you would like, and then utilize these locks to keep it in position. When you have three children jumping on and off the sofa all day, this is a godsend.
It's been almost 6 months with this sofa and I have to say it is worth the investment. We have owned many sofas in our lives and this has to be top for the most comfortable.
