Behind The Blog : A Day In My Life

I have been asked to participate in a 'Behind the Blog' series with a group of talented bloggers here in Canada. It's a great series to demystify the life a blogger and show you readers that its not what you may think it is looking from the outside in. We have all been given a set of questions to show you how we go about our days. Make sure you check out the other awesome bloggers at the bottom of this post.Wildrosebuds.com: Behind the blogHere we go. A day in the life of Katie Rose:1) Be honest: What time do you wake up and what's a typical breakfast? This question sucks, because it reminds me how much I miss sleep. My typical weekday starts with my alarm at 6am in the morning. I need to beat Aubrey by enough time to do my hair, make up and get dressed before he wakes up for the day. Because its usually just me through the week (Rob works on the road mostly) I need to time it properly so that both of us are in the car and headed to daycare by 8am the latest. That on most days is even pushing it. When it comes to breakfast, or dinner for that matter, I usually end up with a Coffee, and if I have gone to Costco lately, a Lara bar at work. The peanut butter one is my addiction.2) Do you have a day job? If so, what do you do? How do you find the balance between blogging and work? What are the pros and cons? – If blogging your full-time gig, please explain how that came to be.I work full time as Chiropractic Assistant with my shifts varying from 8-10 hours a day. Its really hard as a mom because it ends up only giving me an hour at the beginning and end of each day to spend with Aubrey. To balance blogging and work, lunch time is usually spent planning and touching base with different people. My actual blogging waits until dishes are done and Aubrey is fast asleep. Pros of doing both blogging and work is that blogging is my output, my therapy. Cons are that I have no time between it all to focus on the blog as much as I would love to.3) Where did you grow up (what city/town, do you have siblings, can you share any stories about your upbringing)? And where do you currently reside?I grew up in Chester, Nova Scotia on what we liked to call a hobby veggie farm. My Father, A farm boy through and through, grows enough to feed us for the year but not enough to sell. I am the youngest of 3 girls and seem to be the only one who hasn't gotten my life planned out. I guess I am the one who keeps my family on their feet. We are a very close knit family who act more like best friends thats sisters and mom. We had a humble upbringing and I hope I can do the same for my little guy.Wildrosebuds.com: Behind the blogCurrently, we reside in Halifax, about 45 mins from my parents. It's our "BIG" city here in Nova Scotia. But, Rob and I are dying for that simple life we grew up with.Wildrosebuds.com: Behind the blog4) Outline your average, typical day. Be as transparent as possible. My typical day starts with dragging my butt out of bed and doing the least amount I can to look presentable before Aubrey wakes up. Next is making sure he is fed, changed, and dressed before we head to daycare and work. I then, work all day trying to get some social media and blogging in on my lunch. Its then driving through rush hour back to daycare to get Aubrey, home, feed him supper (my supper is his leftovers usually), bath, bed for him, clean the house, Blog and when I'm feeling really ambitious I may even attempt a workout. Its rushed, tiring, and boring as can be. But being a working mom is not a glamorous job. I wish I could tell you it involves lunch dates with big people and snuggles with my family, but the truth is hard.5) What's your dream job/career? How are you working towards that?I would love to blog full time, and just be at home with my kid(s). Its not a lot to ask for and I hope by getting myself out there and known, I am on the right path. To just be able to raise my own son and be there for him each and every day would be a dream come true. And this Blog, you people, you all are my therapists. I love telling you my experiences, advice and ideas. I love writing and knowing someone will read it. Fingers crossed that I can one day focus on it.Wildrosebuds.com: Behind the blog6) What would be your dream dinner-party guest-list? Explain why you chose each person.Hmm...Dream dinner party? A few years ago it would have been a whole list of celebrities. Now that I am so heavily into the blogging community, I think it would be a girls night with Monika Hibbs, Sydney Poulton, Taza from Love Taza, Cara Loren and Taylor Sterling. These 5 Ladies are who inspired me to blog in the first place and I would love to pick their brains about how to become successful at this and balance family life at the same time.7) What's one thing you'd like to start, one thing you'd like to stop, and one thing you'd like to continue.I would like to Start getting back into the gym, and posting the health advice I learn along the way.I would like to Stop rushing around in life and actually start enjoying it and remembering itI would like to continue to post regularly so that you as readers can get the most from me.8) What's your current obsession? My current obsession, as any of you instagram followers of mine will know, is a pair of Dolce Vita quilted leather slip-on sneakers and my plaid Zara blanket scarf. Neither leave my body for very long.9) Link to 5 websites/blog you can't go a week without? Here they are. Don't waste too much time like I do on them.- Instagram well I love to creep. Its like Facebook but without the annoying status updates ;)-Pinterest (obviously) for food, decor, advice, you name it-Glitter Guide for advice on anything and everything pretty-Whowhatwear to find out where to spend my money online shopping (don't tell rob)-The Coveteur for inspiration and crushing on the rich and famous10) Tag and mention 1 blogger who you'd like to partake in this feature.I would love to have Monika Hibbs from monikahibbs.com participate in this. Her life seems to fantastic and picture perfect. I would love to see how it really is from her eyes.Wildrosebuds.com: Behind the blog Check out the rest of the awesome bloggers taking part here:Monday September 29thSabrina Smelko (yours truly) | handsandhustle.comBrittany | mydailyrandomness.comTuesday September 30thBrittany | Gallerynoeight.comKelly | glitterdiaries.caShawn Lovering | wildandlight.comWednesday October 1stThe Party Girl | thepartygirl.caRenee | reneemleblanc.comThursday October 2ndKatie Rose | wildrosebuds.comHilary Ramsay | houseofher.weebly.comFriday October 3rdJordana | WhiteCabana.comVanessa/Decor Happy | www.vanessafrancis.comI hope you enjoy peaking into our life,Katie Rose xoстилусгеймпад для приставкиживотные африки левlesbian hardcoreооо деньги до зарплаты брестброкер по кредитамкак взять кредит 50000кредит онлайн пермь
