What's In My Bag?
As a busy mom, and now running from meeting to meeting, its hard to keep my purse organized. The key for me is to clean it out every week, as well as make use of my little organization bags. With these simple fixes, my purse says organized and clean. Here is what's in my bag while I'm on the go.
- My Day Planner: Yes phones have calendars and do amazing things, like alarms and reminders but I still like the feel of writing all my meetings and appointments into a book. I feel like I remember things better after writing them down. The Design Love Dayplanner is where it's at with so many different ways to lay out each week.
- Business Cards: Even though I am horrible at using these as I don't like to brag about myself, these Zazzle Cards are the perfect minimalist look to show my simplicity of my look. Plus its way easier to have your social info on a card, than spelling it out.
- Wallet: Obviously my wallet would be in my bag. But this one was a gift I bought myself the day I landed my last job. I had slaved for 2 years to become an honors student and after quickly landing my first job out of school and leaving it a year later, It took me another year of searching while working in the bar industry to finally find a great job and it deserved something Marc Jacobs.
- Aubrey's Gear: Rob and I switched to Honest for Aubrey's diapers a few months ago. with their fun designs and extra hold, they seem to be the only brand Aubrey doesn't pee right through.
- Receipts bag: With Wild Rosebuds Blog being a registered business, as well as having my side project (stay tuned for details) I need all my receipts to claim. But a ton of loose papers in your purse means one will for sure get lost, or ruined. Plus, its just a mess. To solve that, I put all my receipts into this awesome Cath Kidston bag my mom brought me back from England.
- Notebook: I am a lists girl. I always have been. This means, I need a notebook with me at all times to keep my thoughts straight. With all my meetings that I have been having lately, it comes in handy to make sure everything is documented and details are remembered. This Notebook from Chapters spoke to me and I had to have it.
- Cell Phone: As a blogger, an entrepreneur and a mom, my cell phone is in my had wherever I go. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is so easy to use and splash proof incase those little hands get on it.
- The Purse: As you may notice, I am a one purse at a time girl. Yes i love the idea of matching my purse to my outfit, but I would rather invest in one amazing quality bag and use it until it falls apart on me. But, with the meetings and files that need to be brought, I needed a bigger bag with the shape to keep paper in shape. This Chapters Sales find was the perfect answer to that.
- Make-up bag: Winners has always been the best place to snag a great makeup bag and I love the size of this one.
- Bug Spray: Now that black fly season is upon us, I carry my doTERRA Terrashield essential oil with us everywhere. Here I have it in a spray bottle mixed with a coconut oil so that it can be used on the whole family.
- Sunscreen: As a victim of the tanning bed era, only since becoming pregnant with Aubrey have I really dedicated myself to sunscreen. This Aveeno Sunscreen is a great size, gentle enough for aubrey and smells great.
- Lip Balm: II remember getting this lip balm from Sephora years ago as my birthday gift. Since then, you will never find me without my Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment.
