A Peak Into Aubrey’s Nursery

It all started with a lamp.

When my mom was a baby, her aunt and uncle lived in Africa. As a shower present, they sent my grandparents a wooden Elephant lamp with real ivory tusks. This lamp stayed in her room as she grew up. When I needed a new lamp in middle school, my mom gave me this elephant lamp and my father fixed it up. It has since been in my room everywhere I`ve moved to.

When I found out that I was pregnant, this gorgeous lamp with such a history was the first thing to pop into my head as the theme. For colors, I went with yellow (my favorite and gender neutral) and gray ( Rob`s favorite and the color of elephants). From there it was easy. Many things were made or fixed up by Rob and I, while others were gifts. In the end, I am super proud of what was accomplished.

What do you think?
