My Look: Swimsuit

Rob gets 2 weeks of vacation each year and lucky for us, both weeks were approved during the summer. Last week was one of them so we decided togged away to his mothers for 2 days in the south of Nova Scotia. This trip is always one of our favourites because it has some of the most beautiful beaches in Eastern Canada. So we packed the car Tuesday morning and hit the road early so that we could arrive before lunch.

When we arrived at my Mother-in-law's we were welcomed by her and my sweet youngest niece. We enjoyed a quick lunch and headed to our favourite beach for the afternoon. We had set up, were enjoying the sun and next thing I know, I was hit by a migraine. Trying to not ruin everyones afternoon, I crawled into our beach tent with my sleeping baby and tried to sleep off the headache. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I ended up throwing up in the seagrass behind one of the sand dunes. Needless to say, we quickly packed up and headed back to Nana's house so that we could have a quiet night and so that I could nap off the sickness,

The next morning felt like a brand new day, so after a slow morning of getting ourselves ready, we decided to visit the same beach again. This time, we went in through the locals entrance on the opposite side of the beaches. When we hit the sand, we realized we were the only people on the beach and that is how it stayed for the rest of the day. It was sublime. We had a private beach with a few passerby for the next 4 hours of sun, sand and relaxation. Aubrey loved having his 11 year old cousin there to play with and Rob spent most of the day Diving off big rocks and exploring the views around us.

It was my first day post baby in a bikini and thanks to the popular high rise being back in style I felt crazy confident. Stay tuned because next week I am going to let you in on some of my tips for getting your body back after baby on my Fitness page.
