It has been 2 weeks since Poppy came into our world. This also means that I have been cleared for gentle exercises. My fitness routine with Aubrey to shed the weight fast was to walk 6 days a week. I started with just a mere 3 km walk around my hometown of Chester and gradually added more distance and more roads as I went along. Eventually at around the 7 week post partum mark, I was getting a good 10 kms in a day and had dropped all of my excess baby weight.

Now, I know a ton of you are wondering how I am going to accomplish that with two kids. Well, I am lucky that Aubrey is in daycare between 4-5 days a week depending on Rob's schedule. That allows me to walk right after I drop him off. If you are one of those strong moms that take care of two kids 24/7 and your eldest is still napping, time your walk around nap time. And lastly, if naps are a no go, plan your walks in the evening after dinner. Get your kids in their pjs, and even bring your spouse along. Trust me, even if they fuss a little, they will be asleep by the end of it.When I walked with Aubrey, I used my Bugaboo Cameleon. I had seen all the ladies with the big wedding rings using them on Bloor Street in Toronto, coming out of Holts. When a friend was selling hers after using it for her two girls, I jumped at the chance. But, after using it with Aubrey, there were many things that stuck out in our heads that we hated about it. The front wheels were way to small for our country lifestyle, the shocks were pretty rough and having to switch the fabrics between the bassinet and the seat were painful to say the least. To top it all, after three children, it was ready for retirement. We started shopping around, trying out every stroller we liked the look of and fell in love with the Uppababy Vista that my sister had bought last Fall for her new baby. There are so many feature that solved a lot of our problems. To start,  the wheels are great for all terrains. From carting Poppy around the City sidewalks, to my old road walks in the morning, she doesn't seem phased with the bumps in the road. Another amazing feature is that the bassinet and seat are separate. Because Aubrey is still in that in between phase, we can put the seat on for him and Poppy in the wrap, or use the bassinet for her to stretch out and relax while Aubrey rides on the super fun Piggyback board. While we are on the topic of the bassinet, it can be used in the house with their bassinet stand, or like us, bring it down to the beach for a great place to sleep that also blocks the sun with its extended sunshade. If you have 2 young children still in the stroller, with the ease of purchasing their Rumble seat and a few adapters, it becomes a single wide double stroller. This feature is what sold Rob. He wants one more baby after Poppy so this allows us to not have to invest in a new stroller if that happens. It is a bit of an investment, but with all of the features and when you factor in that all accessories are included, it is worth every penny.Having such a fantastic stroller, it is really making getting back into fitness after Poppy so much easier. Knowing that I have something that is smooth and comfortable for our little Cashew to ride in, I don't fret about hitting the pavement for those daily walks. What helped you get back in shape after kids? And if your struggling, What would you like help with? In my new FITNESS Section, I am enlisting the help of some health professionals to give great advice to us moms on how to bounce back and get healthy while we take care of our family.Katie Rose
