Getting my Skinfix for Winter
Recently, I received a goodie box from Skinfix of their newly launched Adult line. The brand has been a known name in my family since Aubrey was born. Their diaper cream has been the only non medication cream to help Aubrey and his poor chapped behind. But, what I didn't know about the company was that it was local, being based here in our small city of Halifax and the fantastic history behind it. I believed in the company already as was overly excited to try their products made for me. One by one I started trying out each product, raving about each and then catching Rob with them in his had to try for himself.
The Lip Repair Balm is everywhere right now and topping the lists of must haves around North America. So, ofcouse, that was the first products I grabbed out of the bag. And those reviews are right. I seem to get chapped lips at the drop of a hat, especially if I haven't gotten my dose of water that day. The balm moisturizes almost instantly and last for hours without re-applying. its the perfect mate to those drying lip pencils.
I love a great body butter, but with the issue of scents in public, they always seemed too strong and I would have a headache within the first hour or 2. Because of that, I sort of swore off using anything that didn't come from a pump and ended up lasting only 6 hours. But the Ultra Rich Body Butter from Skinfix is so different that Rob is now even using it daily. There is no smell and it moisturizes and nourishes way more than any other butter I have tried.
The last product that seems to be with me 24/7, is the Ultra Rich Hand Cream. Having started a job where you are shaking hands many times a day, its important that your hands are as welcoming as your smile. That being said, this hand cream is a miracle worker. from bad cuticles (try the 12-hour Miracle Ointment) to cracked palms, my hands were looking disheveled.
