Lorena Canals, A Kid Friendly Rug

We have been looking for a rug for our living room since 2 houses ago. But with being on a budget, kids AND a dog, it never seemed possible to get something in our price range that could withstand our busy household.With Poppy coming, we decided to make our living room more baby friendly again. That meant an extra couch, a new layout and something to cover up our worn in wood floors and make it more comfortable for a baby to lay on. So the hunt began!Shortly after Poppy was born, we learned about Lorena Canals Rugs, and how these aesthetically pleasing rugs are perfect for the growing family. From their soft material, their area rug size, to the fact that they are washable, we knew we needed to have one for our house. We loved the layered rug looks so once it arrived, we also grabbed a larger jute Ikea rug for underneath. This small addition to our living room packed a real punch. It lightened the room up and made it feed so much warmer and comfortable. The rug is so soft and the perfect place for Poppy's firsts. She had her first roll on here already and I cant wait for more first to happen.As for the washing, We have yet to try it. Our washer is quite old and small so I don't trust it with larger loads. But I will update this post once I have tried it to let you know my results.The only thing I will warn you about is if you have a dog, you may find the threads come loose. Zeus loves to lay and stretch on it, digging his nails in and it has caused the loops to loosen. If this happens, do as the label says, and just trim the strings back down.Other than that, it's a perfect addition to our house.
