Hello Ottawa
First of all, I'll apologize for the massive amount of pictures. This past weekend, we took our very first family trip to Ottawa to visit my closest friend Kayla and her fiance Kevin. We had named them Aubrey's godparents right before he was born. Because we live such a distance away, this trip was the first time they had met him. Though I wish Kayla had got to see him when he was a newborn, it was great for her to meet him now that he has such an awesome personality.This trip was the first time that Aubrey was on a plane. We had heard horror stories, so we had come prepared for the worst. He was amazing, sleeping 90% of both flights. The only time that he had a moment was on the landing as we were returning home. We were pleasantly surprised by the rest of the people on the plane saying how great he was, reassuring us that he didn't bother them. He's just too darn cute to be mad at, even when your a stranger.We spent the 4 days that we were there, checking out the local fashion stores, eating at some great restaurants, and visiting the Parliament buildings. On Sunday, we headed to Montreal for the day. Of course, when we get there, we open up the trunk to realize we had forgot to transfer the stroller from one car to the other. Needless to say, Aubrey spent the day taking turns in all of our arms. Rob, being the smarty-pants that he is, created a sling out of his scarf to wear Aubrey in for the last half of the day so that he could have his proper nap.Kayla and I had some wedding things to accomplish while I was there. I got fitted for my bridesmaid dress, we picked up her wedding dress, and we bought her wedding shoes, which may I add are so original and awesome. Now its just the waiting game until the big day next august.Rob and I cant wait to plan the next trip as a family. Ottawa again? Abu Dhabi? London? I am looking forward to making more and more memories with my gorgeous little family.Safe travels,Katie Rose xo
