A Glimpse Into Aubrey`s 1st Christmas
This year`s Christmas was one to remember. With it being Aubrey`s first Christmas, we were lucky enough to have my grandfather (mom`s Dad) here to spend it with us.With our growing family, we had 3 Christmas rounds this year. That`s right, 3, and each person when above and beyond to spoil our little prince. Which means we have been busy since getting home trying to organize places for all of Aubrey`s new treasures.Christmas always means a lot to me. But this Christmas meant to much more. With my grandfather here, My sister Hollie and niece Amelia here, and my sister Shannon miraculously getting called of night shift as a nurse, I got to have everyone I love under one roof for the first time in many years. Isn't that what Christmas is all about? yeah the gifts are great, but that excitement lasts only so long. The real meaning of Christmas are the memories made and laughs shared. Like the night we played Trivial Pursuit 'Genius Addition' published in 1981. Those answers we guessed and laughs we had will forever be with me. Or, spending Christmas Eve night, babies in bed, watching the original 'Grinch who stole Christmas`. I looked around the room, surrounded by my parents, sisters, grandfather and love, as we quoted the movie in perfect timing, thinking to myself, if Santa doesn't find me and THIS right here is my present, I`d be happy.
