Happy Labor Day
We had many big plans for Labor Day weekend, but opted for a quiet family centred weekend instead.
Rob arrived home at 9pm on Friday and we spent the first night relaxing.
Saturday was spent checking out the awesome deals on fall fashions for back to school, and even though we are not in school anymore, we definitely partook in the sales to grab a few great pieces to make our fall wardrobe fresh on a budget. Saturday night, rob headed to a birthday party for a good friend and I ended up being his DD home at 1am. Ahhhh, the things you do for love. Aubrey decided that once we got home, his party would start. I was up with him about every hour. With that being said, my plan to hit up the gym early sunday was cancelled.
Sunday, we made plans to head down to visit Rob's mother in Liverpool which is just short of a 2 hour drive south of here. While we were there, we went for lunch at the newly rebuilt White Point. It had gorgeous views and the food wasn't too bad either. From there, we headed to Carter's Beach. Rob had been wanting to take me to this beach since last summer. We left Aubrey fast asleep with Nana in the car and had a romantic walk up and down this gorgeous holding hands. The rain had stopped and the sand was refreshingly cold on the feet.
It's Monday, and all the stores are closed so we are having a relaxing day back in the city. We are finishing the baby's room shelves and watching the rain come and go. Tomorrow, another busy week begins and Rob leaves us again.
