DIY Wooden Letter Magnets
Last year, while hunting for something else at the dollar store, Rob found plastic alphabet magnets. He thought maybe they would help Aubrey who was then struggling with a few letters. The kids absolutely loved them, but they were obviously cheaply made, kept falling apart and there were only one of each letter, so words were hard to make. Add the fact that we are trying to cut down on plastic use in our family, we were ready for something nicer and more natural.I started hunting the internet for Wooden alphabet magnet sets, heading to all the normal places, Amazon, etsy, chapters, etc. with no luck. They were either not what I was picturing, or were way more than I wanted to spend. So, then I started looking at the price of small strong magnets and wooden letter. For a total of $30 off Amazon, I was able to get everything I needed to create big Letters for on our fridge.
This is probably one of the simplest straight forward DIYs you will ever read about. All you need to do is Get Gorilla glue, Magnets, and wood letter and use the glue to attach the magnet to the letters. The more important thing is to know which works best and where to buy.

- make sure you glue the magnet on the back of the letter
- let glue fully dry before putting on fridge
- wipe glue clean off magnets after they dry before using them on fridge.
- glue magnet to strongest, thickest part of letter
