My 5 Minute Makeup Routine
So many of you have requested my makeup routine over the years and I finally decided to show you first hand what I do. I am no makeup artist and was spoiled as a kid because my oldest sister and her friends always did my makeup. But as I get older i try new things and really believe in the less is more theory with makeup. I love the natural look that just enhances the beauty we all have. When it comes to photo shoots and meetings, I never use a makeup artist, though do know some great ones. And, to be honest, I don't really stray far from these steps. My eyes may get a darker shade of eyeshadow, or my lips a brighter lipstick, but this is what is stick to. The products are well loved. What are some of your favourite products? So tune in above for a step by step tutorial of my daily routine and check out below for what products I use and where to get them.1. Sephora Brush SetI was always the girl who used the brush that came in the makeup. But, after trying to learn how to do my makeup a bit better, I realized that it is important to use good brushes. I received these as a christmas present and kinda love the effect you get using a proper brush for the task 2. Benefit Lemon Aid My sister had bought this years ago and i had used it one day. Since then I was hooked. The yellow corrects the colour of those dark circles around your eyes and it is nice and thick so it stays put! 3. L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation I needed a lighter foundation for my winter pale skin, but didn't want to break the bank. I grabbed this Foundation because i love the dewy look when it comes to make up and the medium coverage still lets me freckles shine through. Plus it was 4. Beauty Blender SpongeI have always been that girl that applies my foundations with my fingertips. I know, I know, the oils and germs are so bad for me. So, finally I decided to try out one of these bad boys. My first reaction was," um what?" it was eating my foundation, not helping use less. But then i heard that you are supposed to wet it and then ring it out before you use it. Now I love it. 5. Benefit Brow-ZingsI had to learn the hard way about the importance of colouring your brows when you are on camera (check the video). So, after using a pencil, I wanted to try powder as I find it a bit more natural looking. I always start with a great shaped brow with threading and then maintain each day by using powder to colour it in. 6. Maybelline Master Contour KitThis kit is super easy to use when you want to contour your face. Or for everyday, I like to mix together the contour and blush for on the apples of my cheeks. When it comes to your blush, more is more :) 7. Plume Science Lash Enhancing SerumI have always been an avid Lash extension lover. but was looking for something more natural and affordable since the glue does so much damage to your natural lash. Plume came up in my Instagram News feed and I knew I needed to try it. You apply it like a liquid eyeliner 1-2 times a day and watch your lashes grow! 8. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow PaletteIf you haven't heard of this palette by now, you are probably living under a rock lol. It is a oldy but a goody and I just can't part with its brown hues and the way they make my blue eyes pop. 9. NARS Audacious MascaraI have been on the hunt for a mascara that will make my lashes look longer and fuller. I have spent so much money on different ones because no matter what, I always have mascara on. I finally found it and am pretty set on this type for life. 10. NARS Velvet Matte Lip PencilAfter trying this out as Sephora Birthday Gift, I fell involve. The red is a great colour and I find with a stick, you can be more precise and it doesn't bleed as badly. For every day I treat it like a lip stain with a lipgloss or chap stick layered on top.
