Time is a Funny Thing
Time is a funny thing. As a kid, days last what feels like months and years feel like lifetimes. Having children of our own now makes this more so apparent, as now I can see this happening in my own kids’ eyes. As we grow older and get a sense of time, moving into real life, working ‘9-5’ jobs, and stressing about the ins and outs of each day that passes, time moves a little differently. Hours spent working seem to drag, but those moments of truly living and enjoying what we have created as our lives, seem to last only mere seconds.
In the past 6 years, we have really taken a look at where our time is spent. Parenting has been a huge eye-opener for us and with the first 3 years being full of stress and worry that our children only saw us for those mere seconds, and our jobs saw us for the rest we made a change. We moved from a city where everything is go go go, to the country where moments can last so much longer and busy is no longer glorified. We, luckily, found passions that we created into our living, and in return, in a sense were able to grab hold of the time passing and contort it to the way we wanted. Our moments we love living now last hours and our moments of working feel more like seconds. 
In a digital world, where we work purely with the advances in the modern day, be it our DSLR at our photoshoots, the software and computers for editing, and even this blog to share to the world our every thought and move, I miss the yesteryears and the thought of hard-working people building things by hand and those items of pure timeless nature. Having a small detail like an analog watch on your wrist may not seem like much, but there is something so classic and timeless about a well-crafted timepiece to keep you a little less connected to that digital world. The absence of a screen for those small moments in a day where you check the time, mean more to both my head and my heart than I can explain in words.
