What to Wear: Post Baby Wedding
Dress c/o Poppy&Olive, Shoes, Necklace, Watch
As we fall smack dab in wedding season, I remember the horror we sometimes face with dressing for the nuptials. Being a guest at a wedding can sometimes even be more stressful than choosing your own wedding dress to wear. I think part of this as a woman is trying to not feel over or underdressed but at the same time being comfortable to last the hours. Because, let's face it, besides Rob and I's, most weddings are at least 5 hours long. That is longer than a night on the town for most people.
But, Now factor in being a breastfeeding woman into the equation. You have now gone from needing a figure flattering comfortable dress that isn't over or under dressed, to all of that, plus slimming, plus matching spanx, as well as easy to whip a boob out of to quiet a crying baby at any point of the night. It's hard. And I won't even touch on the shoes issue with this post.
So to help all you moms like me out there looking for those perfect dresses for your friends and families big days, I have rounded up my favorite breastfeeding friendly wedding wear below. And If you are local tho Nova Scotia, I would this amazing navy number at Poppy&Olive in Bedford. With the draping front and pockets, it gives a slimming illusion to hide the new mom belly. Having straps means there is the option of wearing a bra, and my favourite part is that the criss cross at the chest has a strategically placed snap that you can undo at your baby's convenience to breastfeed. Dressed like these are hard to come by but when you do, buy them in every color ;)
