A Summer With Cheerios™
On Tuesday, Aubrey turned the big 3. Or, as he would say if you asked, "THIS MANY" holding up 3 fingers and running to you. Because we knew that Baby's arrival wasn't far behind, we celebrated his big day all weekend. But, like true Decoeli Family fashion, the best moments were spent on the beach. There is something so freeing about splashing in the waves. Even as an adult, I live for Nova Scotian summers by the ocean with the sand between my toes. Aubrey feels the same way about it. Those moments, watching him and Rob splash in the waves, not thinking of anything but staying upright, do a mother's heart good. If only every day could be that freeing.With all that running around, swimming, and good ol' summer fun, I turn to the classic snack of Cheerios™ for a quick refuel through out our adventures. As a Mom to now two, trying to get out the door while remembering to put on shoes is bad enough. I don't need the added stress of trying to prepare snacks to bring with. Having had a love for Cheerios™ since I was first starting to eat solids, I still keep them stocked in my kitchen for the perfect snack on the go. My love for them is shared between the whole family. This means, the box goes with us everywhere because it seams a bowl is never enough. But, for Aubrey's little hands, we make sure to have a snack cup with us for quick, mess-free,access from beach back to carseat. Each time we head into Walmart, I make sure to be well stocked up on my favourite Multi-Grain Cheerios™ (we get the Family Size), and a small box of the classic Cheerios™ for Rob's early shift breakfasts.
