Behind The Scenes: Local Team up (Stylized Wedding)
Last month, Rob and I had the privilege of being asked to team up with some amazing local talent for a stylized wedding shoot. Knowing each other through friends of friends, or being from the same hometown, we thought coming together for one project would be a ton of fun, plus helps get each others names out there to a different market. My mom came in to babysit Aubrey late afternoon, and we set out for Nicole of Oh Dina!'s studio. Thats where the magic began with me getting to play dress up with a ton of vintage dresses from Fancy Lucky Vintage. Each one was gorgeous, but we decided to make it fun by going with two completely different looks. I then, was introduced to Chantelle Brown, the make up artist. She has amazing talent because I felt gorgeous after she worked her magic. Stay tuned next week for more of her expertise. While I got dolled up, Rob was ushered off to change into his suit and then we decided which handmade Bowtie and Pocket square from Makenew would match the looks. My goodness he's a handsome man. Once everyone was ready, we headed out to our location to have some fun.Of course, once Rob and I were alone in the car on our drive there, we decided to post a picture of us dressed up to Facebook and implied that we just got married. Lets just say the next 2 days Rob, my mom and I, had to do damage control because people actually believed us.We got to location and because we were shooting on the waterfront, it was freezing. At one point, Rob started worrying because I was shaking so bad. but in-between takes we all had enough laughs that it didn't matter. Jessie Redmond was amazing, she tested out many shots and wanted the perfect lighting for each shot. The poor girl was working with a concussion and even forgot her camera bag full of lenses at one point ( thank goodness they blended in with the beach so were still there when we realized) She was great at direction but at the same time let us do our own thing so that it looked natural. I think the best part is that in the end she captured our real laughs and smiles, making the shots that much more genuine. When all was said and done, we headed back to relieve my mom and couldn't stop talking for next few days of how great of a time we had. Thanks girls. It was a pleasure.Check out the final edited shots here and see for yourself how talented these ladies are.Katie Rose xo
