When your clothes don't fit yet....

It'll be 3 week tomorrow that my little guy finally came to meet us.I can't believe it has been this long already. The days are flying by and I'm sure it is because you can only do half the amount of things that you usually do in twice the amount of time that it took pre-baby.

The difference a week makes:

As of last Friday, I began to work a schedule for Aubrey and I. I am unfortunately a creature of habit and need a daily schedule to keep myself sane ( Rob has a love/hate relationship with my need to plan everything). So far, Aubrey seems to have inherited this need from me because every morning between 7:30 am- 8:00 am he wakes up for a feeding. That starts out our day. Then it's downstairs to make a green smoothie that I got from Miranda Kerr the Victorias Secret model. It's super healthy and a bit bitter but I add a banana to it which makes it much more enjoyable. You can find  the recipe here : http://www.net-a-porter.com/magazine/200/21. After relaxing (and waking up) with my smoothie, the lululemons go on and he gets a second morning feeding before we head to Chester around 10am to hit the pavement for a fast 6km walk. Because I'm such a fitness addict, this morning healthy routine is keeping me sane until I get the ok to hit the gym at my 6 week post baby check up.

Today, it rained all morning and I had an appointment in the village for lunch time. This meant, our routine was broken. This also meant, I had to leave Aubrey for 2 hours straight. We tried out the pump, and my mom fed him his first bottle. It was a big moment which I missed. I also missed my dad holding Aubrey for the first time but I won't think about that.

The appointment was worth it though. I have a wedding on Saturday of a close friend and it will be my first time 'out in public' since Aubrey so I felt like I needed a bit of a confidence boost seeing as though my body is still in post-baby shape and nothing besides my fat clothes and lulus fit. So, I got lash extensions and I love them! If you live in the South Shore, I highly recommend Emma for all your Beauty needs emmadaimond@outlook.com or Facebook search 'Emma Diamond- Esthetic Services & lash Extensions'.

The lashes, don't mind the no makeup close up:

Another thing that has boosted my confidence? NEW SHOES!! The great thing about shoes is that they always fit. Aldo has a sale so I took advantage and got a fun new pair of high top runners( to make me feel like a hip new mom and lucked out with a pair of gorgeous almost Tiffany and Co. Blue wedges that were one of a kind and on super sale. They are baby carrying friendly as well as this weekend's wedding dance floor friendly. to top it all off, they match the gorgeous dress I got from RW and Co. Perfectly. Who knew it would be so difficult to find a flattering summer dress that was breast feeding friendly.

Now that I've got the gear and an appointment to get my makeup done, bring on this wedding. Knowing the couple, it'll be the wedding of the year and I'm honoured to be able to share the day with them. I'm sure Laura will be GORGEOUS.

                                          Yours always,
                                                            Katie-Rose xo
