WE ARE SELLING OUR HOUSE

The Wild Decoelis | WE BOUGHT A HO-- -- USE

I cant believe I am actually writing this post.

4 years ago, we took a chance and started touring homes. Our current rental was falling apart and even though we wanted to stay and purchase it off our landlord, his price for it compared to its worth and the work needing to be done was out of our scope.

So, we found a crazy priced home closer to my parents and booked our good friend and agent to set a viewing up for us. Knowing us and our style, she set up a few other viewings in similar pricepoints. Thankful for that as we hated the one we wanted to see and didn't even know this one existed. I still remember how I felt pulling into the side drive to see it. It was an overwhelming feeling and once we toured inside the feeling of my grandma who passed when I was 19 was everywhere. We cancelled the other viewing for that day and headed straight to my parents to get their opinion. They loved the house just as much as us. Then came the hard part, you can learn more about that here in this video of how we lost the house because I had told someone I thought was a friend about it and she put an offer in before I could from a different province.

After a lot of work and thinking we would never find a home for us, We got this house back and moved in Aug 15th, 2018.

Since then you have watched as we have tackled almost every single nook and cranny of this house. From completely gutting the bathrooms and kitchen, re-insulating and re-walling to humming and Haaing over what paint colour works in each room and what wall treatment matches the age of the house. We removed a dark and dingy basement laundry room corner to a viral laundry/mudroom that you all adore. We have put so much love sweat and tears into this space and if we weren't fortunate to have three beautiful children, it could easily be our forever home with it secret Gardens and outbuildings.

We are faced with the truth every day that this home which is a three bedroom is not fit for five people with three kids constantly getting bigger and with that bringing more things into the home. With our last project finishing up, we have decided that the best thing for our family is to let go of this house and search for something bigger over the winter.

We hope to find a home big enough to be our forever home, and outdated enough to put our spin on things. But for now, we are just hoping this home goes to someone who will love it as much as we have and value the work we have done over the last 4 years.

If you are interested in purchasing it and have been pre-approved for a mortgage within the last 90 days, send an email to our Realtor Susan by clicking HERE with Subject: Wild. It is being listed next week and we will be working away on making sure its in tip top shape for the new owners before then.
